Giorgio Armani passed away on September 4th, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Piacenza in 1934, he left his medical studies to pursue design in Milan. In 1975, together with Sergio Galeotti, he founded Giorgio Armani S.p.A. and went on to revolutionize fashion. In the 1970s he redefined the men’s suit with freedom and fluidity, and in the 1980s he created the power suit that reshaped the idea of feminine strength and sophistication. Hollywood embraced him, and Richard Gere in American Gigolo turned Armani’s style into a cultural icon.
“Re Giorgio” transformed tailoring into a language of restraint, precision, and discreet luxury. His legacy lives on in timeless elegance, the power of detail, and beauty without excess.
